About Our Church

In 1952 a small group of Lutherans had a vision for starting a church in Sebring. The Land was granted by Highlands County per Mr. Sebring’s instructions to any house of worship.  

In December ground was broken and the building went up on the present Thrift Store site. In the 1980s expansion was made when two long educational buildings went up.

As the church grew to three services on a Sunday the present Sanctuary was built in 1989 with a large Fellowship Hall on the Main Level with a state-of-the-art kitchen.

During the 1990s a large Elementary School served the community with over 200 students. Unfortunately, the school closed in 2000, but a Preschool opened in 2009 and has been growing ever since!
